WANTED - Headgasket and bolts for 1.4

Post by Toddman »

I need HG and bolts for our AX GT and thought I would ask before going and buying them as if anyone has either or both parts or knows of a good place with good prices then please let m eknow.

Looks like about £30 is the average for the pair but we only paid £75 for the engine and box so in comparisin quite dear and the engine was thought to be solid sadly the HG is shot :( so was feeling rather deflated after getting everything running again.

I am not looking for a freebie just a good price :D

Cheers

Can't help mate I'm afraid. But you should be able to get the gasket for around £12 or and bolts a similar price.
If you get a headset, you'll find the headgasket comes seperate in most brands and the inlet gaskets won't be right, as the GT has different intake manifold.

Thanks Kitch

I see ebay have some sets with bots at approx £30 all told and after enquiring they are made by FAI - anyone have any experience of FAI as at that price I may as well do a proper job and decoke the head and so all the seals etc

Cheers

No problems with FAI since I've been working with TU's. Technically they're an aftermarket item, but I've only ever used those and Elring/Reinz with no issues.
