What I mean is does anyone known to us have one?
That is: A late TZi Auto Estate with air con... In green (or any dark colour for that matter!)
Because that's what I want.
Thing is, if I could find such a vehicle in the next year or so - it's bye bye GTi hatchback auto...
I will want a manual car again one day, mind you. A good 16v or a Visa GTi'd do me, but for a family car (for a BX fanatic), an auto plus a/c rings our collective bell...
Does one exist?

Phillip,
If you wanted a 1993 BX 19TZI Estate, Factory Air, Tinted Windows, Auto, Alloy Wheels, 120k Miles, guaranteed no rust, very good condition and full service history then all you'd need to do is tell me.
There's one here for sale but would probably cost a fortune in UK terms.
It's worth $4,500 australian dollars (about 1,800 pounds) plus getting it from Australia to the UK.
OR
A 1989 BX 19TRI-122 (Badged as a BX GTi in the UK), white, Manual, factory Air, Sunroof, Alloy Wheels, 119k Miles, guaranteed no rust, fair condition.
$1990 (about 800 pounds)
OR
A 1990 BX 16 Valve, Silver, Manual, Factory Air, Sunroof, Alloy Wheels, 139k Miles, guaranteed no rust or corrosion, good condition. Needs new tyres and clutch.
$1500 (about 610 pounds)
----
Take your pick....They're all for sale and all have very good bodies. Tight Australian design rules would mean that these cars wouldn't need modification to meet the UK registration restrictions. Australian spec has double cooling fans, large radiator, double interior blower fans.
Dream Phil!
Or BUY BUY BUY!!!LOL

Tim,
Overall imported cars that are worth more than AU$40,000 are taxed very highly and make them more expensive. The BX was about AU$48,000 (19,400pounds) when new here.
Used cars seem to hold a resonable value here. The BX is considered just another old car here and hold no status whatsoever. Surprisingly most people that are selling a BX here command quite a high price and it takes sometimes between 6 and 12 months to sell them. For some reason no one seems to back down on the price.
BX's are very rare here now as there were only about 4,000 imported here from 1985 to 1992. The sun has gotten to most of them and oblitterated the dashboard, paint and most of the interior. Body panels and shells are all in good condition though. You never hear of welding wings, rusty doors or even rear muffler hangers rusting or corroding here. A lot of BX's are bombs here and I suspect due to most people buying them not for wanting a BX but just wanting a cheap set of wheels and hence only paying what is absolutely necessary to keep them going.
So im response to your question, I don't really know why the price is staying so high but I do know that if the price goes any lower (like to a UK equivalent) they will all most likely end up in the crusher.
Sad but true, the BX is an unloved car in Australia apart from a few enthusiasts. Even more sad is that I can't save them all (i have huge family pressure to buy a house which would make me poor for the next 25 years).

Tim,
I know and hence not a lot were sold. Generally all Australian spec BX's are top of the range with every option except ABS in them.
Not a good idea£20000 for a bx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! F*ck me backwards!
