Short notice but....................

Tomorrow its and open Run What You Brung day at santa -pod and the 'slow car club' are having a trip out there.

There will be 2CV's, renault 4's and various other slow cars, maybe some slightly more normal cars and some proper fast stuff as its an open day.

Its arranged we shall be meeting there at about 10am ish. By we i mean the 2CVGB club.

Just thought i would mention it in case anyone fancied a trip out.

Well would you believe that my 2CV managed 26.24 quarter with a terminal speed of 47.02 mph.

WOW!!!!

The headwind didnt help, there was some serious stuff there :-)

 Good work

Best I could manage there in the BX was 15.9 @88mph I think. I had a dodgey gear linkage (theres a vid of it coming off racing Luke's car!) and 16inch alloys at the time, plus a nearly full tank of fuel and a boot full of subs etc. (think thats all the good excuses I used for the lame time!)

Got 15.6 @ 92mph at a different location, thats a bit more like as its the book speed. Had smaller wheels back then too.

Gutted I missed that event though, let me know if theres another?

Cheers
