Makes them sound like Hell`s Angels! I can just picture Adam and Oscar rolling up in a BX with Motorhead blaring out of the 8 track and their Sid Snott leather jackets onBaldbazza wrote:Currently at £1 and in Maidstone, Kent. Isn't that where our Medway chapter hangs out?
Adam? Oscar?
This car MUST be bought: everyone knows that white diesel estates are THE BX to be seen in.
Who`s going to bid for this one then?

Lucky you! My last white diesel estate did nothing but break and go wrong. In fact it was sort of the exact reverse of your`s, because it was quite funny driving it round wondering what was going to go wrong next (didn`t have to wait for too long!). Having said that it was almost un-killable: no amount of thrashing, use of various fuels, complete neglect to check things under the bonnet and using it as a mobile skip could stop the thing running or starting.Kitch wrote:If its anything like the silver one we have, it'll run on air with no oil or coolant and become boring because it never goes wrong or breaks!
Well that said the clutch is overdue by about 5years
In the end the lack of MOT and some rather brutal measures to save some valuable spares saw it off.
Philip, if we can`t laugh at ourselves then we have nothing left!

I might be being dumb, but what do you mean in reference to CORGI? I can be a bit slow sometimes!tom wrote:Looks like it may be a decent car. Mileage is fair for the type but being a G reg, you should check to see whether your mechanic is CORGI registered. Otherwise it appears tidy and they look good in white.

I've just spoken to the guy and someone's hit one of the rear light clusters. I hope he'll find a replacement. Also, no parcel shelf (essential really for me) and the intake hose (I think) is missing.(?).
I'm going to have a think
Sounds a straight up guy.
Shame the description didn't mention the missing bits.
