Mr. Bridger
It often makes me wonder how people think they can get above scrap value for a car (unless its a very rare cla$$ic and / or has a daft beenie hat wearing cult following) with no MOT test.
Surely putting a car through a test (even if it say costs £200) would be worth it as you would get that money back when you sell it on with a full MOT.
I mean, whats the mimimum rate for a useable diesel with an MOT - I would have thought £250 minimum really - and £50 scrap without.
Motorbikes are the same - stupid money wanted for MOT-less machines.
As Barnum once said... One born every minute.

Depends on circumstances, I suppose. Well, that and the fact that it was `free listing weekend` for motors on eBay so you can bet the place is currently flooded with over priced crap from chancers.
I must confess I was tempted to put the Sharan on with a fairly high reserve to see if it would go but I couldn`t be arsed in the end.
I get a lot of questions levelled at me as to why I don`t MOT cars before I sell them and whether there`s some motive behind it (i.e are they complete wrecks which will never pass without hundreds of quid being chucked at them?).
There IS a motive behind my reasons, and it`s because I generally can`t be arsed!
Regardless of whether I think something will go straight through an MOT I generally don`t bother. Yes, I probably could make more money by testing stuff, but then it`s here longer while I wait to find time to take it and the increase in price due to full test means it`ll take longer again to sell. I can make a living making a VERY small profit margin on cars and I`m happy to do so because they won`t be here long and then I`m on to the next one.
Every now and then a golden egg will come along and I`m laughing but in the meanwhile it`s cheap and cheerful for me-with or without MOT.
I mention this because I know others who do the same and I`m pretyy sure a few on eBay think the same way.
This particular car probably is well over-priced but maybe it`ll dawn on the seller one day that he`s spent a fortune on re-listing it so often and it would have gone by now if he`d been realistic.
