At the risk of giving away what I'm thinking, is this the box which can donate its 5th to a 16v box for more comfortable motorway speeds...?

Im getting there had a few personal problems then health problems so i have been a bit busy but getting there slowly I am having a clearout and desperately need this box out of the way and i dont realy want to scrap it as it is good.

Thanks phil still not totally out of the woods but i have now got to slow down and behave and do as i am told so scrabling round on cars is out of the question so over time i will slowly be clearing out and there could be more bits and pieces going to good homes.

I think that would suggest it will work...? I know the ratio jump from 4th to 5th will be a bit extreme but since the car will happily do 100mph in fourth, I find the first four gears are fine for most A-road zooming around.

Fifth gear cog set is reqd from a turbo D.

38/25 and 63/16 teeth.

The bearing needs to be machined down a 1mm too.

gives 23mph/1000rpm

Right folks this is last chance saloon as if no one wants it then it will have to go for scrap as i need it out of the way ASAP.
Surely someone must want it even if it is just for a spare as it will be a shame to scrap a perfectly serviceble box.
