Hydraulic pressure accumulator?

Post by Andys2 »

I have an Audi ( I know , sorry!! ) that uses a high pressure hydraulic system to power the brake assist and the power steering. In this system there is a pressure accumulator, otherwise known as the bomb, due to it's startling resemblance to a hand grenade! Mine is knackered and they are v.expensive from Audi, is there anything similar on a citroen, and does anybody know if they can be re-conditioned?

Give Pleiades a call. They may supply the spheres you need.

Thanks for the replys, I've spoken to Pleiades, very helpful but he explained that they can only re-pressureise the accumulator if there is some residual pressure left in it and as mine is as flat as a flat thing I think it's game over!

Clearly time to let the audi go then and buy a BX, go on, you know it makes sense. It does, honest! :D

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
