Oh what a day

Post by sleepy0905 »

Well today started well I jumped in my trusty bx to go shopping opened my window and proceded to the shops, on arrival at the shops I started to close my window when all of a sudden my glass is now at 45 degrees and aint gonna shut  , so feed it shut by hand and motor and keep telling my self dont open the window all goes well then about a couple of hours later at a different shop jump in open window and think s**t grab glass realign and shut by hand and motor  , I have now stripped the door to find the roller channel on the bottom of the glass has rotted away  luckily I have a spare window with channel which I have now fitted I now have a mental note to check the others ho hum :)

Well I usually buy deodorant even when my windows are fully functional in honesty.

Pair of show-offs. I haven`t got a sunroof AND my passenger side front window won`t open AND I laugh in the face of deodorant.. Us adopted northerners are tough as old boots you know and just as smelly!

If it's any consolation, there's been a couple of C3 drivers out here who reckon similar things have happened to their cars when just out of warranty and have cost $600 a pop to fix.
Another good reason to be grateful you drive a BX.

Speaking of which Cavmad, that window that wouldn't open on the 1.7diesel, well having since swapped the interior it now works just fine from both sides so i'm suspicious of the magic box, wonder if thats the problem on this one?

Sounds like it, it`s a bit strange that one. Still haven`t fixed the window on mine yet-I`ll get round to it soon.
On an aside, the rally car went Tues night. Lovely job
