ECU?

Post by cavmad »

Hey folks, under the front seats in the BX GTi (8 valve) were one box either side. I`m assuming one is the ECU (Bosch Motronic) but what is the other one please?
It says ATE Controller `Antiblocage de rue` and was under the passenger seat.
Any ideas please?

And strangely enough it seems to be one of man's most reliable creations. Worth hanging on to - even if its for substitution purposes on another car.

Yes it is the super reliable ABS controller.
The ATE should have given you a clue though as it is often seen as "Teves ATE"

Now you need to explain that clue as I don't see how it makes us any wiser. :?
There is a good clue in Cav's description though of `Antiblocage de rue`. :D
