It does look like a nice one, so its probably worth the dosh, but i dont think there will be bidding frenzy, now if it was at 0.99p no reserve!!!

I'd say again it seems like a good prospect for someone out there. A nice late GTi is a great car.

Is that really a GTi? Doesnt say so against the BX badge but there is some odd script below the ABS badge. :?

It says "GT CARS Leicester", which is where my Dads 19TGD and The Xantia came from, its now a derelict building in Leicester Lee Circle. Its done well to last all this time, we peeled ours off the BX teh day we got it as I thought and still do think its a biit naff!

Ah, so it's not a real GTi! I guess it could have most of the bits as a late model when they throw everything at it but probably not the bhp of the GTi. :?

:? If it's a GTi 8v why does it not boast the badge? And what extras does it have above my GTi? :?

Factory alloys as standard, different seat fabric (same pattern as a Xantia VSX) 16v style rear spoiler and side vents and was only available in green with the special hurricane graphics. Think they did them in 1.9i spec and a 17TD spec if I remmebr righly, mechniaclly they are the same as a TZDTURBO or 19GTI 8v of the same period.

As for the badge I think the later cars did change over to that style, I know the TX series were the same.

Trust me if i had £400 spare we wouldnt be discussing it, it would be on my driveaway getting valeted within a inch of its life :D

I've had the TD and GTi. Both great cars! Ok, it's only the seat colour and whale tail that make it special but they look great!

Cheers

I loved my Hurricane, it was just too rusty to keep. For some reason all the Hurricane's i've ever seen were far more rusty than an equivalent aged BX.
