I dont suppose anyone has an old laptop laying around they no longer use or want doesnt have to be anything fancy it is only for the missus to play games on at night when she cannot sleep.

I know this may be a bit cheeky

but all the old laptops on ebay go for stupid money.

We have two desktops going but they may be too big for the lap!! As ludicrous as it sounds, Dell do one for £350 - not sure how good it would be for gaming tho - depends on what games she wants to play I suppose but thats cheap for a brand new laptop! Have you tried something called freecycle?

we are after as cheap as possible Ian and yes we do use freecycle BXBandit infact she got an old 286 laptop off there but alas it has died a death despite us getting a replacement battery for it she only runs old games on it nothing fancy.

Yes it would aslong as it can run windows 3.1 then it will run her old games.
