France's old car show. A little small by UK standards but some mouthwatering dream material. I Know that JohnW from Aus is going, the Doc has expressed an interest, I may well be going myself. Paris, Mid February.

If the 16v is ready.....which it probably won't be I'd be up for that.

Hhmm, what needs doing to the valver Kitch....?

I'll be taking the diesel anyhow, the valvers choosy about fuel and continental stuff gives it indigestion!

PAS needs sorting, one of the brakes is binding (might work off if its driven for a while as its been sitting), oil pressure sender needs replacing, the gearbox needs fixing on to the block so that it WILL NOT come off for the rest of the year :shock:

Needs a new windscreen, four new tyres + a new rim, rear spheres at the least, maybe fronts and an LHM leak fixed.

Then it needs a major polish/mop. And an MOT and service.

When you coming round? :lol:

All simple if pricey stuff then mate!

The most difficult thing on that list is the oil pressure sensor! There a B&$T&RD!

hhmm, end of jan / begining of feb could work!!! :D :D

Oil pressure sender is easy as far as I'm concerned.....I'll just pull the inlet manifold off to get to it :lol:

Its the PAS thats really worrying me. Tom has come up trumps with a sound reason as to why its not working, but as of yet I've not had time to even take a look at the poor thing.

How harder job is to take the inlet manifold off Kitch? As you know my pressure gauge dont work but I cant get my hands in to change it.

Its easy as pie mate, seriously the hardest part is getting the coolant hoses off the TB without splitting them, and that only depends on how patient you are.

Once all the bolts are out, you have to give it a wiggle to get it off the dowels, but its all easy. Oh, and leave the fuel rail on....just unplumb the hoses, its the easiest way.

Make sure you've got a new gasket ready to go on. I'm taking mine off again soon to clean it up etc.

Okidokes sounds easy enough even for me! Ive changed rocker cover gaskets and exhaust manifold gaskets plenty of times on various minis and metros.
