just posted on the tech pages about two faults pre mot, heavy steering and a blowing sound from the engine..
now i usually dont mind getting down and dirty but because im getting old and lazy am about to throw car into a reputable bx garage for them to repair..
soooo was wondering who do you use, how much do you lot think it will cost to repair? not thinking at all about getting rid but when youre facing a bill of that deprives you of your beer tokens serious questions have to asked
charlie

Impossible to say mate....you don't know whats causing the lack of PAS and "blowing sound from the engine" is a wee bit vague..... if its blowing from exhaust? Which bit?

Just went and checked your previous thread....you're in the same boat as me PAS wise....I've lost it and with no obvious cause. If you search for a recent thread I started there are plenty of possible causes in there.

i was reading through the citroen index, on steering, and was gnashing the old teeth at the sight of their pressure gauge and an idiots guide to pinpointing the fault...
has anyone actually got one or used one of these gauges???

Hi Charlie, the system has a built in pressure guage, tis the STOP lamp, it self tests when you turn on the ignition, ie lights up, when the engine starts the lights should go out, the big stop lamp together with the brake fault lamp will tell you that you dont have enough pressure, it might need servicing a little.
