How nasty is LHM fluid?

Post by graham_h_miller »

Hi all,

The Xantia's been leaking for a bit (I've identified to leak and found the part so that's not an issue) but where I park it the LHM has mixed with some mud that fell off the sills. I noticed that I've left tyre tracks in it.

Will it corrode my tyres? Also what should I buy in the way of driveway cleaner to keep my landlord on side?

Thanks!

Graham

tyres are too tough for LHM to affect them (remember LHM is, at the end of the day, just rubber, its a long way from chemicals like DOT 4 or petrol).

What is your drive made of? Bricks require totally different treatment to concrete or gravel!

On the nastyness subject, LHM doesn't taste to bad, but ti does have the effect of 'teflon' coating your mouth and throught so everything tastes a bit strange and it stays stuck for weeks!

A better 'nose' than Diesel, but my favourite has to be a 1991 Chateau Screenwash...

Bearing in mind that I was on holiday when it was done... I'm guessing tarmac. It's very much like road surface and apparently was done with a huge, loud machine. I should point out it's not so much a drive as a farmyard!

Thanks!
