Diesel estate on eBay

Post by Philip Chidlow »

If the seller did get it MOT'd, plus obtained the V5... could be a good'un...

BTW, just wondered how many 'Citroen mechanics' spell Hydraulic 'Hydrolic?'

You'd be amazed, Philip. I know of a Vauxhall service advisor who still manages to include such classics as the 'Astar', 'Zafria', 'Singum' and 'Mervia' in their model range. I think he's slightly dyslexic though, so there's a reason for it - but my point is, stranger things have been known to happen!

And that someone MIGHT be me. Not a million miles away and the same colour as my soon-to-be-collected TZD estate, which, handily enough, has a couple of panels that need replacing.
I`m thinking make one good one out of the two and scrap/strip/sell on the one above.

With respect Billy this one seems like it's not ready to become a donor car! Wait 'til Ken sees this ad. Seriously, it'd be a shame to scrap it I think.

There are still panels out there aren't there?

Yes Philip, but first choice would be to swap the panels over and then advertise it as a complete car. I`d not remove anything that would effect MOT or running order so in essence it`d be the same car but with two or three panels switched from my `new` estate.
All pie-in-the-sky at the moment of course as it`s for sale to anyone on eBay.

Does look good from what we can see.

I can really do without buying anything without MOT right now, the XM is spread all over the drive and likely to stay that way for a few days. Just found out the MOT runs out today.

Mind you less than £350 with a logbook and MOT isnt bad for a tidy estate car.

Agreed, but this had neither.

True but he says for a extra £70 he can, which sounds bit dodgy to me.

Well gents we`re all sitting on gold mines here if that`s the kind of money they can fetch.
Makes the 300 notes I paid very recently for my TZD estate with full MOT look like a bargain despite the faults I found with it!

True, but bearing in mind you can pay £300 for a suit with ease these days its not alot of money.
