In fact the very back of beyond. Anglessey the far North West corner of it.
An interesting day out, even saw one BX on the road.
Went to recover this TZD from one of our members (citroenxm) it'd been stuck for some time as he'd managed to rip the rear cylinder suspension pipe while trying to change the rear spheres.
About an hours work or so and she was up and onto the trailer and now back on the right side of the Pennines.
£300????? Was that an unsuspecting seller on fleabay or.....£300 So did it need some work doing? I have the 2.1TD in the Xantia and the engine is great (no where near as much fun as the 1.7 TD BX) but a goos solid motor...would love it in an XM....probably one of the best cars to have.... i want one now!!!

The S2 XM had the "fly by wire" throttle and went like the clappers of hell.
I want another now, real bad.......
Although I'll still get a late S1 since the S2 didn't have a turbo gauge...
and I like gauges, and buttons to press!

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
Later Xantys had the fly by wire as well IIRC.
Although the XM always seemed sprightlier than the xanty......
The engine I believe was the same. Maybe it's just cos I like XM's and think the xanty is the result of a bad day at the gates of hades??

I have found my Dads XM a world apart from the Xantia, I'm very tempted to get one to replace the Xantia but I'm concerned about costs for bits and the time I would spend on it....as opposed to a C5 (eek) which would cost more in dep alone but may/should give a more trouble free ownership....

I love my XM and it's very economical to run much better than I expected. From experiance, the series 2 cars seem to perform a bit better than the series 1, but looking under the bonnet, I like series 1
I remember running a CX and I think XM's are going to be the same, if you're running one, you need a second one for spares. Parts are expensive and difficult to get hold of.
Mind you, this guy Paul (citroenxm) in Angelsey has a shed load of bits.
