Deatailed instructions here - and its a TD.
The problem with Haynes is you have to skip between the petrol and diesel books. What's in the petrol book is OK if you know what you're doing - ie can see what's likely to be in the way and know how to remove it.

A superb write up Jon, but, er, there's one critical flaw...
no mention of hammers or gas axe's......
Or is that just me.....
Ooh, the pubs open......
*heads out the door*

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Serious? Rad out??
I just rotate the diff upwards after the box is released from the engine???
Although, the gas axe is just sooooo cool, I cant help myself!
Piccies are always good Jon!
Especially if they're being modelled by nubile young phillies.....
Cheers

I just crawl under, grab the box, wiggle it and it lands on my chest, then when i get out of hospital I prop the engine forward using a timber block between the sump and crossmember. I have a first motion shaft cut from a scrap gearbox to centralise the job and away
