These cars are where I live, although I cant say ive seen any of them. Odd, as Malvern is only a town of about 30,000 people. I know of a BX specialist who goes by the business name of "European car services" or something. They used to specialise in 2CV's but as these have died off, they have to do modern stuff too now. The guy is an ex Citroen dealer mechanic. A nice bloke, and his sun works with him now, but last time I went there, he had about two BX's on site, a few XM estates, a ZX etc. They did mention something about cars in another location. If anyone is interested in anything, then let me know and I will message the seller to find out if its these guys or not.

I'd be interested to know if they have any late BX16 engines (B2C/XU52C)

OK will ask. It looks as though all the actual cars are diesel though.

Right. The Mk1 is a white-ish (i think) estate that looks like its been sat 9 years. The moss on it is unreal. Its very dirty. The bonnet is missing. It needs about £1000 and 6 months of weekends work to get nice again by my reckoning. He has a petrol engine "of some sort" but he has to find it first. A really sound guy, but he seemed to live in a barn and have a fire drill for a phone. (I rang him and heard it in the distance, and he crept out from the barn) He has exactly as the advert says all those deisel BX's, all I think with the earlier NA XUD. Like Tim says, the MK1 is missing the head. The interior looked OK, but mouldy and with bits everywhere.

A Mk1 estate?,6 months of weekends is a small price to pay

To be honest, anything is possible. It looked "straight" and most bits were there, and by classic car standards/restoration jobs, it would be a walk in the park, but, I put my money on nobody wanting to spend the time and money to have a nice MK1 estate, even though, there are none left (OK, perhaps there are say, 9 in the country with MOT, at the most), but as much as we'd all love one, owning a normal BX seems to be almost as good, and I cant see anyone rescuing this. Id love to be proved wrong.
