Serious Drool mode engaged

Post by kiwi »

Now this BX has got me salivating as to the power of it compared to my 19TZS.

My imagination is running wild at the thought of spitting out Subarus thru my exhaust pipe that dare to challenge it.

Only thing that bugs me is only being able to get 95 octane fuel in my area

Looks like mine

Forget 95 Octane....the 16v was the only fuel injected petrol BX to run on 4 star from the factory. They will run on 95, but they much prefer 97-99RON.

As for the Subaru's.....well they've got 200bhp+ and 4wd, so you won't be spitting any of those out the exhaust!
Although I have embarrassed a 1 year old WRX (210bhp UK spec) in 2nd and 3rd gears by keeping up his back bumper after he'd been so eager to get past. The passenger on his back seat looked pretty stunned too

Like I said I can not get higher than 95 octane in my area and they have only recently been selling 98 octance in the larger servos in country for a couple of years.
As its classed as New Zealand new its been running on 95 the last 15 plus years at least, although if you got a few drums of Avgas it would do wonders

Might be able to get a few more gallons of that stuff soon  The stuff is only allowed to be stored for 3 months at airfileds before the CAA says it must be disposed.

Probably wont be spitting out the subbys but considering my 1500 on the local stretchs of roads keeps them at bay I figure the extra power of a 16V with the BX cornering ability might just put them far enough behind before a longish safe overtaking straight where they may be able to get past

If they do get past me they probably would be on a suicide run and the ABS will have a advantage then  especially as those long straights have bushes at the end to hide things in

Hmmm, I think you're either underestimating Scoobys, or the Scoobys in NZ aren't as quick as they are everyone else. They'd outcorner and outdrag a BX 16v no problem.

Its not the subs are not as quick its more a case of they have low profile (bald) tyres, poorly maintained and crap drivers
I know what the performance of the Sub Outback as its our Company Car fleet.

Like I said not to many long straights and not to many places to overtake on the corners  One breaths to close the brake light test or in the BX case Fog light gets them backing off.
