This has just come up on German Ebay and I might have a crack at it as it's not too far away. Doesn't really add up though. Text reads ( approx) : broken alternator? Blown head gasket? No rust, slight front end damage etc.Leaking sunroof. Unregistered since Sept. last year. The mileage is strangely low for such an aged vehicle.( 68000km!). First registered Feb '83.
Also, I didn't think that there was a diesel BX available in '83. The badge on the back seems to read 19TRD - isn't that a turbo serial ?
Have written to the seller and I wait.
Any thoughts?
HAPPY EASTER!

Turbos are simple to identify - they've all got 'Turbo' stuck on the back and uin their description. There are loads of 1905cc naturally aspirated TZD's out there - the turbo ones are badged 'TZD Turbo' (and are all 1.7's)
Citroen confounded the confusion with the later square black plastic plenum chamber which sits nicely on top of the n/a engine where the intercooler should go!

Cheers for replies fellas!
Could it be that the diesel was introduced earlier here? I asked my Citroen mate here and he went into a trance as he scanned the memory banks but all he could say that German Citroens were shipped in pieces
and assembled in the Audi factory (?)
Still waiting for info from the seller but it is Easter and some people have families to visit! I only want it for parts to feed the other beast. And - at the moment - the price is right..
