Shame. A Mk 1 with that spec would be my dream car! Even better if it was an auto, but I suspect such a thing doesn't exist.

That's interesting. My Mk.1 estate was first registered here in March 1987 but it must have been made earlier. When I changed the seats recently and put in new seatbelts everything was stamped up with '1986'..
