TRS auto estate in a pound
I don't know about being in a pound. It might be worth a pound though.

Seems a total waste of time them even listing it, no one is going to buy that heap, if it was 99p & no reserve then fair enough.
It would seem that the legal system would rather it was scrapped than an honest member of the public being able to buy it & keep it on the road & at least they would recover some costs, totally weird to just lose money like that.
They want £273 & cant sell for a penny less, so they scrap it & get £80, how fuxxxd up is that

Ahh, but as they say - the figure is fixed to try and recoup the costs outstanding on the car, and also so the present "owner / driver" can not just bid himself and buy it back for say a fiver, thus totally negating the point of having it confiscated in the first place because he was either uninsured, unlicenced or without road tax.
I work in an area where the police regulaly stop people driving uninsured wrecks and frankly feel they should crush the lot of them - chances are the "owner" of this particular car was a hardcore abuser and driver with no insurance which means we "honest" drivers pay more in the long run. As much as the police may drive people mad they do have a job to do keeping idiots off the road, and if they made it easy for him to get this car back then he could be on teh road again and driving into the back of your lovely retored valver, or running over your cat on the zebra crossing.
Yes its a BX, yes its an early one, but lets face it none of us lot are going to save it, and as we are supposed to be enthusiasts doesnt that mean that this particular one has little or no value?
Best bet is to email the seller and ask them what yard they use to scrap the cars and try and do a deal with them with regards parts ( because I doubt that you would be able to get the paperwork to put it back on the road!)
