German Digit

Post by toddao »

Just looked at the German BX club for the first time - BX IG. Net. And though the language is a bit uphill for me - it's basically the same thing we're up to in this club : tech, info, chat etc. I've yet to join as I'm not sure my written German is up to it yet. First thing I spot is some guy looking for an interior for his Mk.1 Estate! Second is a Digit for sale ( described as a Youngtimer!) and the ensuing debate. They're Digit mad too! :D

As far as I can tell, there were a lot more Digits on continent than there ever were in the UK, so it's unsurprising that more have survived. (and in good condition by the look of it)

Interesting to note the differences in the way German TUV rates the engine size and horsepower. In the UK it's defined as 1905cc and 105hp. In germany, 1891cc and 102ps. Same engine though.

Don't think there's many here judging by the response from all the German BX club guys. They all got themselves in a frenzy til one of them actually bought it - with 12 months guarantee! He's going to take it to the German 25th celebrations , wherever that is? Here's a picture of another -
