Cheltenham

Hi, i asked a chap on ebay whether he had any alloys on the car he was breaking, he did & initially offered them to me, & then stuck them on the bay of dread.

I really fancy these, trouble is they are down South. If i win is there anyone on the forum who could collect them for me & deliver at the CCC meet in July?

Yep, Cheltenham is not far from Stroud mate, and I'll be at the national. Although finding room for wheels AND beer........

I'll have to buy a trailor!

How come theres all these BXers and CXers near me, and yet I never see any BX's or CX's around in my travels??? and I get around ALOT!

It's showing zero bids, so maybe your bidding on another set?

I guess there's no harm in putting a bid in and may the best man win I suppose, but really if a fellow Forum member's put a bid in already on something and has aired their desire to have a serious punt at it/them in most cases I'd back off. Here I'll put a tentative bid in to get the ball rolling... I really want them as much as anyone else, but I probably have less dosh to fling at the auction!

Er, where do i start. The chap hadnt listed them when i contacted him about them. He offered them to me for £x, which is what i was prepared to pay, but would need to find out if someone could pick them up for me before making a decision.

In the meantime he put them on e-bay, he has said that if i paid him £x then he will remove it from e-bay.

However, there are a few people interested so i dont feel it appropriate for me to say "yeah i asked first so back off" afterall everyone who wants them has got every right to bid for them.

It might therefore seem daft for us to bid against each other & put the price up, even thought this would be the fairest way (assuming of course one of us won them).

& Yes i did really fancy them for the Gti, i think i will be keeping her as i'm getting fed-up with trying to sell a nice car for peanuts, i would rather it sat in my garage & i got some use out of her.

So guys, what shall we do?

I'd say get him to sell them to you for the agreed price and remove the listing. If he changes his mind then, I guess, there's not a lot you can do except place a bid to your previously 'agreed' price and let the auction take it's course. I'm not exactly loaded this month so I think I'd be out of the running.

But as I said. Get the guy to agree to the original offer. If you can,
