I've just read an email from the CCC GS section registrar: he's just bought 2 BX's: 1 low mileage 19DTR for his wife, and a high mileage white BX14 St Tropez that he's bought off eBay (£36) for spares...... H reg, 112,000 miles with MOT and Tax. He only bought it cos it was the same colour as the diesel.
I've called him this morning, but unfortunately he's already in the process of removing the doors. He's going to scrap it later today due to lack of space. I appear to be too late to stop this.
So does anyone want any bits off it? I said i'd call him back later if I wanted anything off it. If anyone genuinely wants the whole car, let me know ASAP. Apparently it has some rust on the sills, but it seems to run ok. Has the tilt sunroof (no deflector).
He's in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
Cheers,
Mark.

It *is* the same car that you were bidding on Tim!

One text message can (hopefully) save this car if someone can collect this weekend.
Note there is a problem with the diff tho....

Right, I've just spoken to the guy:
He's saved two of the wheels, with good Goodyear tyres on, and all four of the wheeltrims. They've been painted... so Phil, no doubt it would be easy to spraypaint them silver The mudflaps were all scuffed about so he didn't save them.
Sorry Owen, I was too late to get the hydraulic pump from it... the car's now at the scrapyard
Wish I'd had more notice instead of an email yesterday that I only picked up this morning... Oh well!

OK Mark. Let's see what he wants to do. Two wheels (165/70's I guess)... could be useful to replace a couple on the estate... As for the trims... Thanks, but I don't want to get into 'restoring'... they'll never look like new, I'll hang on for some new(newish) ones in their original colour
