No - I want to fit out my poverty spec TGD as it would have been when new. Besides I only usually listen to the wireless on my way to work, rarely do I listen to tapes / MP3.
Bluddy 'Ell Marty! I wish I'd known when I chucked out a boxfull of stuff at Christmas!
There was one just like that, that went in a skip...almost brand-new too.
I thought " I'm never gonna need an old thing like this", so out it went!
Only had two wires and an aerial socket on the back....very simple! I think it came out of an old Shuvvitt that I drove about 14 years ago.

It would have had a LOT more modern radio than that mate being a 1990 I would envisage a clarion or most prob a blaupunkt radio/casette.

Surely you would want a more modern unit? they are peanuts 2nd hand & are miles better for radio reception than old one's. The old one's always lose the station when the signal gets a bit weak, the newer one's kindof re-tune themselves so you never get that fading out effect....
I'm a fan of the manual tuning models too - it seems easier to pick up a weak signal. The modern unit in my van just scans up and down without locking and in the daylight you can't even read the display - seems for every technological advance there's an accompanying reverse.
This was listed on German ebay last week from '91 BX14 and didn't sell( he's relisted it now)
both units made by Grundig who supplied Citroen in Germany. Probably doesn't help Marty, just showing some examples. I'm looking too for period unit but I want four channels.
Does that mean that you got the BX back to yours then without setting off the missus?
