(to be sung) 'Who will buy my lovely blue BX..?'

Post by norsened »

'...such a car you never did see.'

Right heres the rub. My Olympic blue BX 14TGE was advertised here a month ago and no-one bit. However I have now put a full MOT on it and Tax until December. The plan is to take it to the National to sell so I thought I'd give first refusal to club members.

Good bits:

New spheres
New clutch
New rear arm bearings
New coil
New leads
New plugs
New oil filter
New back box
Sports interior
64000 on the clock
Stamped service book
lovely colour and no rust!

Bad bits

Bashed rear bumper

So all in all a great little car with plenty of life left in her and generally much admired.

Please take her off my hands, you wont be disappointed.

Origional add has pics, but I'll add them on here later.
Thanks,

Ben

I'd remove no PAS from the bad bits thing mate. It isn't a fault with the car, its how they come. And with BX power steering, not having it fitted is actually a blessing IMO

Hi Ben!

Did you have any interest from advertising the car at the CCC meet?
I had a good look at her, but couldn't find you at the time.
She certainly looked in decent order!

Hi Dave

Someone took her for a test run but wanted to think about whether or not they really needed another Citroen before making an offer. So the car is still available and open to offers if you're interested.

Hi Ben,

I've been interested since you first posted the pics of her, a couple of months ago!!! :D
Unfortunately, as I said at the time, I just havn't got the space for another car at present  My wife has told me in no uncertain terms, exactly what she will do to parts of my anatomy of which I am particularly attached, should I even THINK of bringing another BX home!!!
I have managed to persuade her that I really need a Mk1 BX14, as a long-term project, but that would need to be stored 'offsite' during a non-rolling restoration!

I really hope that a car as nice as yours finds a good home soon! How many people on here have said that Olympic blue is their favourite colour?

Good luck with finding a buyer, please keep us up to date with any progress.

cheers
Dave

SOLD!

An enthusiast with a tired AX has bought the blue wonder, obviously looking for an upgrade in transportation. Told him of the club and he said that he knew of it but was not a member. He may well make himself known though and if he does then let it be writ that he is a thoroughly nice bloke.
