Front wiper motor

Does anyone have either a new one for sensible money??? or a 2nd hand one that doesnt have any slack in the spindle area??? I think that there are 2 different varieties, anyway of knowing which one i have in the Gti? or can either be fitted?

I wasn't aware of the difference, unless the plugs are different?

I have one but it's needed for the TZD sorry.

Just found the reply i received from a chap selling one on ebay:

There are 2 makes of wiper motor that fit all Bxs. This one is a SEV Marchall, the other being a Bosch. If your is a SEV Marchall, fine. If it is a Bosch you will need a different wiper drive (the part that the motor bolts on to) good luck Peter.

Blimey, something techie that i know about

Mind you, not sure how to get at the motor to check which one it is....

Probably worth making a bush for the floppy wiper problem, a little oil in there seems to last years.

Bit short of funds at the mo, so will have to delay in getting that, unless someone has an uber cheapo one thats in good nick???
