Newport/Caerphilly BX's

Post by nstarmore »

Hi Everyone,

Have been watching the forum for a while now but I thought it was about time I put in my first post.

My Xantia is the first Citroen I've owned and I can safely say its the best car I've ever owned (although being only 21 doesn't credit me to the ownership of that many cars as yet), however ever since I was a young boy and I used to go on journeys in my grandads BX TXD, I've always wanted one and is what led me to this forum.

Hopefully I will be adding a BX to my current Xantia sometime in the future but as my insurance for the Xantia is £700 TPFT I'll have to wait until that drops first!

Anyway the reason I posted in the BX spotting area is because literally a street down from here lays a silver BX (not sure of the model, haven't looked closely enough yet) and in the village no more than 1/2 a mile away is a red (non-gti) running speedlines and in the drive is a CX Safari. additionally 2 days ago I spotted the silver BX from down the road towing another rather tatty looking black one towards Bassaleg in Newport.

So are there many members on here in the Newport area at all?? One of the these cars must belong to a member surely?

Hi mate and welcome along. I think a couple of the gang live in South wales (Charlie and BX Bandit) and possibly some others too. It might be one of their cars you've spotted.
Perhaps a non-turbo diesel BX might be your best bet to start off with as they should be cheaper to insure?
