On the Lancs M6 this afternoon!

Post by mountainmanUK »

A nice red 19RD Estate (Mk1?), cruising up the M6 around Wigan area, at about 6 this evening. Couldn't really tell condition etc, but was riding quite high at the back end.

Reg number D464 ***

Anyone recognise it?

Nope!

But keep an eye out on the M6 the weekend after next, if you see a pink P2 BX that sounds like a diesel giving it large, that'll be me!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

On weekends I avoid the M6 like the Plague! I spend Monday to Friday on there (plus the M42,M54, and M5)....so weekends are for other highways! That's unless I NEED to use the '6' to reach my 'spare-time' destination!

Doc.....are you coming up North to fix Vannys valver? I may have an hour or two spare, should you need an extra pair of hands!

What is this spare time destination of which you speak???
If it's something perverse or involving whips, give me the heads up!

Well, the plan is to try and make Vanny's valver work yeah. I might finish it off completely though! Spare hands are always welcome mate, especially if you have time to use your hands to lift pint glasses after work has ceased! :D

My spare-time destinations are many & varied, Doc!
Most involve pain to some extent, but also pleasure and self-satisfaction (without Kleenex!)
Mountaineering in Snowdonia or the Lake District

Sounds like a good plan!!
I shall do my best to see to it that 'her indoors' has need for nothing that weekend, so permission will be granted!

That's the weekend before Stratford, innit?
Hmmmmm......."BX Roadworthiness Weekend"! :D

Ah, yeah, I know what you mean!

Indeed, it'll be another last minute dash to try and get Vanny to a CCC event in a Chevron car!

If I cant get it going up there, I'll drag the bloody thing back to Stroud and make it work, usually threatening cars with my trusty persauding stick does the job!

Rest assured, I'll still be asleep then mate!

I dont do mornings, ever. I'll be sat in the traffic. You're right of course, the best time to go anywhere near the M6 is 0400 on New Years morning!

IIRC, Vanny said he was planning a few days away (Rotterdam?), but I'm not sure exactly when he said he was going! I think it was this week, back sometime at weekend, but don't quote me on that! I've not been well this week so I'm off work......getting too old for all this @hard labour@!!
