Front struts and other stuff wanted please?

Does anyone have a pair of front struts in good nick that I can buy please?.mine are all but buggered! I'm also looking for a dash top tray with hole for clock in black please. a set of sunblinds ,my parcel shelf is fine so it's just the blinds bit I need as my hooks have broke and an instrument pod,just the case in black aswell.oh and a dash top tweeter,and a sunroof deflector with all the gubbins,and I'm still looking for a front abs sensor

er just realised how much I'm asking for,Any help with any these would be much appreciated,cash waiting.

When u say your front struts are buggered, is it because they are creaky? if so have you tried using the 3in1 oil trick? also try lubing them with lhm via the strut return pipes. This may not cure the problem, but should hopefully lessen the noise & u never know you could get lucky....

Hi Mully ,I've been using the 3in1 trick for a while now with good results ,but when I went to do it again last week ,when I put the car in low it was very creaky and notchy and when I put the car in top it would'nt rise ,nose down solid! I kept trying all day but no joy,next day I had the RAC out and the guy jumped in and stuck it in top and up it popped!! Exactly what I had been doing !Anywys he left ,the car was fine for the day but the next morning I got in the car ,it dropped a bit creaked and again it would'nt rise.kept trying and eventually popped up.Managed to get it to my garage fella yesterday and he's lubed the HC and the struts up,it rises Ok now,but he says I need new ones it's still abit creaky at the very bottom and the very top ,and I'm worried I'm gonna get in it one mornin and I'm gonna have dramas again.I really need it to be reliable and it's been brilliant so far..

I'm surprised that it wont rise?? how about pushing down on the front of the car to get them to release if they are a bit stuck.

Unless there is something else up with your suspension, is the tick time ok, u could have a flat accumulator which then means there isnt enough pressure with your sticky struts?

The tick time is fine although 2 pipes needed replacing when at the garage don't know which ones but apparently it was losing alot of lhm guess that would'nt have helped. and he has hinted that it will need a new octopus at some point ,does it ever end ??££££!

If you're passing LHM through the strut bottom returns even on just one side then the car will be slow to rise. This is indicative of piston seal failure in the strut & the strut will have to be replaced or internally serviced.

Get some 2nd hand struts off of a good known car, that will save a fortune, i bought 2 struts with green bombs for £30, thats cheaper than a reconditioning kit which i think are normally about £40 for one

Or if u r feeling flush, citroen will sell you one for over £200 per side, or pilades sell recon (i think?) for about £100 per side... its all adding up i'm afraid....

Cheers Cavmad that'd be good ,I've spoken to Medway and they've got the blinds,the cable bracket and the struts all for £40 !! I'm goin to pop down there next Wednesday and while I'm there they're gonna put the struts on for an hours labour,so that's sorted
