Coolant temp sensor
Does anybody know what the size and length of thread is on the coolant temp sensor on a ZX ? Also, if I am fitting an aftermarket coolant temp gauge, is it ok to use the spare sensor fitting that is normally used for models that have airconditioning? Are both sensor plugs the same size ?

Hello,
pay attention! IIRC BOSCH number is 0 280 130 026
Check http://www.bosch-motorsport.de/content/ ... l/2895.htm you can find a pdf link of a/the data sheet including a temperature vs resistance table, a drawing with measurements you need, threath is M12x1,5.
If you'd like to share the temperature sensor you have to check its 'bias resistor' (voltage divider). Otherwise your aftermarket gauge could push/pull down the restistance --> measured voltage would cause a wrong mixture.

I ws going to share the sender but there is a spare plug that I can use on the thermostat housing. It's only used when the car has airconitioning and as mine hasn't then I can use it for the gauge. I still cannot find anywhere on the net that directly refers to the size of the sender on a Citroen ZX Diesel. I really don't want to send away for a sender and have to send it all back again.

Hello timbo2410,
if you've got an unused plug (for thermo switch but not temperature sensor) on thermostat housing than M14x1.25 is correct.
