Ignition Barrel Repair

I replaced the ignition Barrel and since replacing it I have lost the tone form the Radio/CD player that always got when took key out of ignition. Anyone got any ideas?
Radio works fine just the bliperty bop type tone has gone, kind got quiete in the car now :cry:

Would that bliperty bop announce a misising memory voltage ?

One of my BX'es does the same - and I know the wiring is wrong :!:

Now I am confused :o the odd thing is I never touched any wiring with the exception of the Red and white connectors of the Ignition barrel. I guess I could have disturbed something hidden in the centre console.

One over point of note is on this 16RS 1989 model there is a single short green wire with a spade connector on it, have no idea what that was from but it was not on the one I removed anyways from the 19TZS.

Not that there is any consistancy it seems every damn screw is a differant size on both cars :lol:

That little green cable connector with the fat red and white cables is for the ABS power supply on models with it fitted.

Dunno about the bippitybop. Have you checked the radio has a permanent 12v supply as well as the switched 12v ??

Thanks for that and I will check out the 12v supply, although other than that blipty blop missing seems to have no effect.
