Nice that and I'm also going to jump on the 'missing my GTi' bandwagon! I reckon that's worth the money and is a nice, well worded advert. Be a good car for someone, hope he does well with the listing.

I've 99% decided to buy the XM but I am going to have to have a quick BX at some point in the future. That might have been a contender.

Yet another 'blame the wife' situation. My wife loves riding around in a big yellow piece of the 1980s emitting a cloud of burnt veg oil.. as long as it doesn't stop in inconvenient places or she spends too much time riding in her friends new cars ( like, who really needs to know the outside temperature - it's parky luv!)

I think it is a little on the shabby side. Compared to my old black GTi auto - Ian's ELF - (which had its fair share of bumps and scrapes) it looks a bit 'neglected'

But the lure of the GTi is strong.

It could be worse guys. It's not really that bad though!

What really annoys me is when the wrong exhaust is fitted to the car. That 405 rear box looks like Sh!te.

The condition of the car or that it has a 405 exhaust?

Because it points straight downwards and the outlet pipe is at the top of the oval box not in the middle like on the BX. The box is also too close to the bumper.

Have seen it a lot. 405 boxes are cheaper than BX ones but look crap and don't fit that well.

Even seen 405 standard boxes fitted to BX estates. They don't even stick out and look like the exhaust has fallen off!
