No, no, no, no, no NO! (Estate on eBay).
Look, I`m sorry but that`s wrong. Deeply, seriously terribly wrong. Compared to my fashion faux pas of fitting front headrests in the rear this is the equivelant of removing all your clothes and painting your privates flourescent pink before meeting the queen to accept your O.B.E.
Apart from the glaringly and disgustingly obvious it`s probably not too bad.....

I concede that you`re correct Ken. And what a choice: does the winning bidder want to look like Noddy after some drug induced hallucinagenic `trip` (as well as a complete twat) or just be another anonymouse BXer?ken newbold wrote:Oh come on. He does give you a choice.![]()
Wonder if it has had one of those twirly things on the exhaust.
Tricky one that

I concede the minor problem of the wheeltrims but apart from that it seems a good car, and one on which someone has lavished some money for the respray.
Are those BX seats - haven't seen that colour before - especially on an 89 car. My May 89 colour/trim chart shows 2 reds - sunshine Red and Venetian red (which I can't really tell apart under tungsten light - florentine was an extra cost option) and for a RD estate the only trim is Herringbone cloth - Grey - which actually has a pair of red stripes in every alternate band.

That car is about five miles away from me - and believe you me it would have figured in BX spotting before if I'd seen it with those red wheeltrims. I've seen white on St Tropez special editions, but the red certainly doesn't do it for me. Otherwise it seems a reasonably straight car - though the picnic tables worry me....
That is the original herringbone trim - dog blanket or not, more durable than the grey woollen tweed trim that replaced it. Early TGs had the herringbone trim, like their R predecessors. And then, of course, there was of course the camel-dung version of herringbone for the faux-mercedes sandy colour. Quite something.
For a really revolting trim, see the early versions of the Leader models. The seats are like hessian with synthetic canvas inserts. [/i]

Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.
