The FireStorm will be tucked up under it's nice new fleece lined cover come winter. Might sneak the odd ride out if the roads are free of salt.

Change of plan, no winter hack, house bills etc will have to come first, hoping 2014 will be a bit better, and of course we need a BX ready for the 2015 challenge.....and I need to get M confident to drive abroad.

Seems I have a winter hack/resto project.....

Day off today to chillax after a busy few days, do washing and sh*t etc, thankfully I had my booster before the NEC or I would have really struggled!

Anyway I need silver BX Mk2 parts so if you have any please get in touch!

Dont worry chaps its in safe hands, and will be very much part of the BX fraternity for years to come, I am just a custodian for the forseeable future and plan to make it look as good as possible whilst maintaining the mechanics.

I hadnt planned nor budgeted for another rolling resto so it will be a slow process when funds allow, any donations (in form of panels etc for not much moneys) are very much appreciated.

I am not a fan of estates but this is as legendary as Timex so it has provenance!

Good to see it being saved. Kitch, you got your moneys worth from the old girl and a lot of amusement. Thanks for the blog, good to know a legend will live on.

Good luck with her Tim.

It begins, I am sure Barry Annells is breaking a silver estate and Ive been in touch with a local bodyman regarding the crusty rear 1/4 panels when finds allowed.

A quick visit to halfords (I hate that place normally) and purchased a new Pioneer CD Radio reduced from £129 to £45! made even better by being able to use my vouchers I got from work for selling oodles of finance in September and I can connect and charge my Iphone! (so it cost me nowt)

Insured with Footman James for £25 for the year....

I think Chevronics have got some second hand panels from France, which may be in better condition. I remember thinking it was too late for mine!

Might as well do a tidy-up Mat. I think there's an old thread kicking around too.

Work has started in ernest, new dashbulbs fitted where required, heater blower wired back up (with the aid of a paperclip!) so it works from the rheostat again, replacement wiper motor (and new blade) also added to replace the rather floppy and tired item and to have the washer pipe coming out of the central spindle. New Radio fitted and working well but missing a few screws etc.

One door speaker missing so will buy a pair when funds allow.

Shes now Insured so when the tax arrives I will be able to schmoke about in it.

New airfilter fitted and new plates ready to go on (they cost pennies at work and brighten the car up no end)

CCC tax disc holder and rear window sticker already fitted....
