Fantastic Tim. Glad it was saved. I was tempted but it was too far away and it would've meant getting rid of the ZX... and the Xantia wouldn't have made such a cheap-to-run local runabout. Hope you like it.

It's the 2.0i 8v 123 bhp auto so wont be winning any speed trials!
Mind you it was too cheap to turn down. This is a 98 so a very last of the line of the mk1's.

Looks to be in good condition 123bhp is plenty for a cruiser, but i'd imagine its pretty hopeless on fuel compared to your TD.

She booked in for a cam-belt and small service next Weds (I have the air filter and plugs already), no record of when it was done so its going to Mick Avery and Co which is where it was serviced all its life, I will supply the parts and they will do me a deal on the labour.
Not as cheap as Barry but 60 miles nearer each way plus he's moving premises this week.
Front height corrector is still sticking so will ask them to check that out.....
Collected the V5C (all 4 of them!), two spare keys (so I have all 3) and the radio code card (so I now have tunes).
I will tax it from Weds too online so to spread the cost.
On the BX side the Speedlines I bought have gone off for refurbing at the local blasters so should be perfect when fitted to the TZI, which then needs to go to the paint shop for the sills and rear spats!
Thankfully the new venture is going well as I need the money!!
