Czech in the post...
I have a mate who's moved over to the Czech Republic. I'll drop him a line and see if there're any contacts re: translation, he might be able to put us in touch with.

How would everyone feel about a foreign meet then?
I thought the Rompers pub was a overwhelming sucess considering the size of the club and with 50quid speedferries crossings it doesnt make it a huge cost.
Having met Jon actually on Speedferries i know its not just me, Tim2cv, Jayboy and Jon thats up for it.

For what it's worth I'd be happy to offer my (extensive) branding design (graphics generally but not website coding/HTML etc. - leave that to the fresh-brained young turks) and photographic experience. Want a logo/poster/flyer/map - anything really, I'm your man. And I've done T-shirt designs too.
I don't print them though.
As for a French BXcursion (that's what we could call it!) we have plently of time and it'd be a wow. Trouble is, it's slap bang in the middle of the French shut-down month and everything, accomodation/travel is a bit more of a challenge. I would suggest we all holiday, if poss in the same region and take a day out! No, seriously, IMHO it is better to book early to avoid disappointment. Has anyone checked out the LeMans site for info? I haven't but if a get a mo (I'm working tonight) I will...
Go on, let's do it. It'd be a good dry run for a European clan gathering in the Netherlands/Czech Republic - or, of course France!

Would this webring be worth getting involved with to increase our profile?

I'm certainly up for expanding the "reach" of the club - after all, what's a BX good at? They're very happy to do lots of miles in a very relaxing sort of way. So why not do some of those miles abroad? I'm definitely up for a continental trip, and should be in a much better position to do so next year than I am now.
Will gladly volunteer myself for other duties once I've got back to having some of the basics of life: namely a landline and non-public internet connection. I used to liaise a lot with customers in Europe and elsewhere for a previous employer, though admittedly they were self-selecting English-speakers as they all sold English-language books. By the way, Jon, I WILL get at least one article on trim to you - I promise!

i really like the idea of a club shop.
I buy lots of parts (nearly a thousands pounds worth over the last year) from GSF and would appreciate NOT to have to go to my local shop whereby i get hounded for owning a BX.....
Anyway, they have no idea about citroens and they rarely seem to get the rights bits.

French and Dutch
Hello Jon,
French speaker, reader and writer here too, I'm a native of Belgium.
Also Dutch, though I've lost much practice of it.
Planète Citroën's BX page:

Planète Citroën is in difficulties and is going around with a hubcap for donations.
Always the same: hosting costs.
