ZX coolant temperature sensor removal
I have got a VDO gauge and a sensor to install in my ZX diesel. I am not removing the original "red light" sensor. I will use the spare sensor mounting on the thermostat housing. Does anybody know if it's possible to whip out the bolt in the thermostat housing and screw in the new sensor without draining the radiator? If anybody has a picture of a thermostat thread as well I would be very gratefull indeed.

That'll be fine.
Make sure the car is cold (like it's been left overnight or the such)
Leave the rad cap on, and swop, you'll lose very little coolant if you're quick.
Just a dribble missus!

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
