How long is the shelf life for an unused original citroen one?

Duscussed many times before.
The conclusion is that even 5years old - or more - bright new shelf units still should be expected good as new.
No matter the production date - you still have a 2 your warranty by your receipt.

Differant slant on this!

What about ones that have been removed from a car and are in good working order? Ones that you know the age of by the service history and the very good servicing that marks the dates on the things?

I guess the best way would be to test the internal pressure, then compare with the spec pressure..

Can do that FOC.

Er, guess there might be a bit of an issue with distance?

Easiest way i guess is to fit them & do the bounce test, if they pass that then they are fit for purpose....

Distance what in this day and age

These spheres were ok when I took them off the car, well I did drive it for a while

I was wondering more if they could deteriate with being in storage?

Actually might sell them on TM

They do lose pressure over time even when not used, so its anyone's guess i'm afraid, until u fit them again....
