Spheres choice for TZD

My new TZD needs new sphere all rouns and I'm debating what choices to go for.

I've always found the TZD standard front to be a bit on the firm side for comfortable cruising, but then it's pointy and direct when husstleing along the twisties.

What alternatives would people recomend for a better ride quality with decent handling when the situation arises?

Have narrowed the fronts down to 2 choices they are:

BX 16/19 Hatch fronts 500/55/1.80 N45308
and
BX16/19 Estate front 500/55/1.65 N45312

Has anybody any experience of either of these? I'm assuming the estate fronts will be slightly firmer, can somebody clarify this please.

Going to run with standard estate rears on the back.

I'm running 16/19 Hatch spheres on the front of my TZD. I'd only had the TZD ones for about 12 months before swapping for the softer ones.

I much prefer the ride on the 16/19 spheres.

The rear is just on the standard GSF Amtex (N45342) non 16v hatch spheres which are fine.

Its not XM smooth but its pretty good.

Definitely avoid the original TZD spec - far too stiff.
Go for the N45312-or even the 45308 - so much nicer on the road, and only a little less precise on corners.
After all, what's the point of a BX if it's not comfy!!

How does this compare to the ride of a BXGTi? I find the GTi suspension gives for better handling yet smooth without floating.

The TZD is a heavier car of course so this brings its own changes but that would probably introduce more bounce than the GTi could have.

It's a long time since I drove a GTI so can't say.
I would very much recommend a look at the info at "www.tramontana.co.hu/citroen/suspens", where you will find a useful chart, and info on this fascinating subject.
