BX in collision with tank

Post by jrdpod »

In the 'Daily Mirror' of 1/11/07 was a pic of a BX which had been hit by a runaway tank.

The o/s A post and surrounding roof was stoved in, as was the front o/s wing.
The BX driver escaped through the passenger door. The BX was a white h/b, and looked a little like one of those limited edition 14 Preludes.

The car looks to be a write off (Cat C or B), but at the very least could yield lots of spare parts. More importantly, no one was seriously hurt in the accident, which happened in Dorset.

The tank was a "small one" (20 tons) by the way; "big" tanks weigh 50 tons.

Yes, I normally only come out of "hiding" for the Technical and Spotting forums !
This was the first time I'd gone near the Chat forum.
