Nice car aside from the damage, though should be quite easy to repair. I think the price is a (lot) optomistic but as I say probably worth doing.

Nice car that, except for all the damage, that price is dreamland, it may have gone for that if it wasnt damaged, but as it is its scrap. Only us nutters would try & save that one.....hope someone does, but doubt it....

Rare those 17n/a's, might be a reason though

I asked him if there was any other damage and he said all the damage is visible and the car is structually sound and should pass another mot. Drives very nice. No suspension damage.

Will it f*ck as like pass an MOT like that. Jagged edges and bits held on with gaffa tape wouldn't exactly inspire any MOT testers I've ever met.

He asks for £395 "or sensible offers…" :? Would he recognize a sensible offer? :?

Offered him 50 quid. Not being funny but just shy of 400 quid is about all i would pay for a straight one ldv alone a write off. Which lets face it it is. It rather looks like some optimist trying toget his money back on a write off for which he was not insured properly for.

Aha, just testing then! It's still not worth anything like that kind of money and I fully agree with Marty.

Had my £50 offer declined, cant says I am to arsed, but would be a shame to see it cubed. Its not worth more than scrap value to me I'm afraid, my advice to the seller would be cash in the rent and get it broken up for spare bits. But Hey - the Doc surely has room for another phoenix jobbie?

He's only a few miles from me. And it does look a nice car (pre damage) but I'm not paying top wack for a scrapper.

A used wing, headlamp, indicator and bumper could be picked up for alot less than £100, plus paint and fitting would double that, if the car owes you £500 all told with that mileage I think its not a bad buy.

Its worth in my opinion about £200-250, I know its damaged but asides that its a very nice late example and it would be a shame to see it scrapped.
