White 1991 17TZD turbo est - now sold

Post by DLM »

Assuming I succeed in putting it through MOT for the owner, a clean white non-ABS 17TZD turbodiesel estate will be available soon (grey velour interior). First reg Aug 1991, 134k miles indicated. PM me if interested.

It all hangs on the MOT - that will be make or break. It's not my car, but belongs to a gentleman whose "regular" BX I fix in return for working space from time to time. The car is in South Hampshire.

OK - yet another one to add to the rash of TD estates. It's now taxed and tested, but until Hampshire County libraries decide that photobucket isn't a threat to the security of the nation, I can't post any pix until I visit a friend - but would gladly take it anywhere within easy reach of South Hampshire so you can look it over. I've just been driving it and it pulls well.

Due to a lot of admin to get MOT, tax etc, and the fact that another person is involved, I'll be looking for offers in excess of £400 - tax negotiable. I should be able to throw in some spares as well.

PS - Can anyone suggest any alternatives to Photobucket, please?

Please forgive my ignorance but what's "BX Ownership - a Life''

It's getting near my bedtime and I'm probably being thick so if I am, I own up to it now.

It's a heart-warming tale of everyday BX-owning folk, overcoming the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, sustained by a passion for the only model of car they've ever found true happiness with, and fighting against the unfeeling, uncaring behemoth of an organisation that is PSA, when one day......

(read any blurb lately?)

To forestall any further questions, "Grolliffe" is the ice-dragon (the car has air-con) from Oliver Postgate's 60's TV children's series "Noggin the Nog". Michelin is a brand of tyre. Gosport is in South Hampshire, just across Portsmouth Harbour from Portsmouth itself. Hampshire is in the UK, a collection of islands off the north-west landmass of Europe. DLM are my initials. Citroen is a French car manufacturer, the BX was a car produced by Citroen from 1982 to 1993. The inventor of the diesel engine rather pessimistically threw himself overboard from a cross-channel ferry (AFAIR).
