A leather clad lovely

Post by djoptix »

...pair of seats are going in the front of my track project 16v, so I have all this stuff for sale. Prices shown are without P&P, you can pick up from either Herefordshire (my parents' ranch) or South Manchester (my house). If you want things posted I can find out cost. Bear in mind it may be a few weeks before I can get stuff, so PM me if interested! Sorry about the crap picture quality. Higher-resolution versions available on request!

I know some of this is tat that I should probably throw out, but maybe someone can use it... incidentally, I really don't know what a lot of this is worth, so please do correct me if I'm overpricing stuff. Ditto underpricing please ;)

And those of you who came to this thread looking for ladies dressed in leather, get off the internet and go and do some work on your BX. It'll thank you for it.

Right, so...

Full Monza interior in VGC, as you can see it's a bit dusty from being in the garage but it'll clean up fine. Some wear on driver's outside bolster but not too bad. Slight fading on shoulders of rear seats due to the sun. Please note that the seats don't have subframes or belt locks, so you'll need these off the old interior. £60 - provisionally sold to nstarmore

Image

Image

Image

Centre console, good condition, has a split in the rubber by the handbrake - £5

Image

Homemade custom subframes to mount BX seats in an AX, 106 or Saxo (why??) - £10

Image

16v steering wheel, red Cit badge with a bit of flaking, missing indicator cancel tab but you can add one off another wheel (this one is missing because I had to put it on my ZX 16v wheel) - £5 - provisionally sold via nstarmore

Image

Boot cavity cover. Incredibly rare, unfortunately also a bit broken. You could probably mend it if you're bothered, but it wouldn't be authentic then... £free - provisionally sold to Surreyman

Image

Driver's side electric mirror, I was going to change the manual one on my P1 but can't be bothered now. Pretty sure I tested it working. £5

Image

Fog and mirror control unit - I think this came from the same car as the mirror. £2 - provisionally sold to Surreyman

Image

BX gearknob with no insert - from lift up reverse car, though I suppose it should work on a non-lift-up-reverse box... £1

Image

BX gearknob with insert, works on anything I should think! £1

Image

Heater control console, OK condition - £free

Image

Roof console with lights - £5

Image

Ignition and fuel filler lock set with two keys - £10

Image

BX 16 valve badge in black - £2

Image

Clock tray with working clock but some damage to plastic around left mounting. £3

Image

Boot light cover with bulb - £1

Image

Fog surround - grubby but salvageable. £2

Image

Front tweeter grilles, intact and in VGC - £3

Image

Rear light clusters in grey, very small crack in the offside one (hardly noticeable) - £5 - provisionally sold to Surreyman

Image

P1 light clusters in VGC, £5

Image

BX towbar. Made of large ugly - er, I mean strong and well-made - box section. Joking aside, this thing really is built like a brick outhouse. It mounts on the plates either side of the spare wheel cradle. Has two plugs (both of which are currently disconnected) so could be wired for double electrics. £20

Image

Image

Boot carpet, crumpled and needs a hoover, but basically clean. £3

Image

Super rare genuine Citroen headlamp guards. Will clean up nicely, but have small cracks in the inside corners. £5 - provisionally sold to Surreyman

Image

And finally, sunroof visor - £30 - provisionally sold

Oh arse. I thought you said that was what you paid for your last one? What's it worth then...? I'm not afraid to revise prices downwards! :)

Sorry - I did pay that for my last but one deflector.

I just think I got my current one at a ridiculously low price. :?

(I should do a £30 - or best offer secures deal - sorted!)

By the way it looks like one of the purple ones. They're cool!

Mind you, if it was a genuine green or grey Citroen one, it's ultra desirable...

Hey people, sorry for the delay in replying. I will be heading down to the BX later on today and I'll be at my parents' place (postcode HR8) until Sunday at about midday. Mr Starmore, if you can make it over at some point Saturday or Sunday that would be great, if not I'll get the parts organised and laid out and you can pick up from my dad at some point convenient to you - does this sound OK? Here's what's sold, and to who:

Boot cavity cover, mirror control unit: sold to Matt H (bxclub). £2 + postage tbc.

Rear light clusters (grey), lock set, driver's mirror, boot light, clock tray: sold to thanuttiscotsman (bx16valve forum). £24 + postage tbc.

Seats, parcel shelf which I forgot to list, steering wheel; sold to nstarmore (bxclub). £60, pickup to be arranged.

Gearknobs x 2; sold to Mark Hughes (bx16valve forum). £2, will bring them back to Manchester this weekend.

Sunroof deflector and headlamp guards; sold to Cossie (bx16valve forum). £35 + postage tbc.

Hi,
Do you still have the P1 light clusters available? I assume P1 meant phase 1? my car is a phase 2 but the light clusters look like the one in the picture, not the grey ones, are they the same for all BXs? Do they have the bulb holders in them as well, as that has corroded quite a lot on one of mine?

Thanks,
Rob

P1 (phase 1) and P2 (phase 2) refers to the early and late 16v's, the phase 1 had the orange indicators and the later phase 2 had the smoked ones and they are completely interchangable.
