It's gotta be Ken's with that Caravan in the background and the mention of the XM.. problem is, if it is Kens there's a well documented history of disgruntlement with this car. The upside is - he's probably fixed it all by now. Speak Ken.. =P~

Tis indeed mine, but not for very much longer :D :) :D

I can honestly say "this has been the worst BX I have owned"

I think the electrical problems have now been sorted, it hasn't let me down now for 26 days :o something of a record for this car. Since I took apart and cleaned the spade connectors on the positive leads, it hasn't suffered the flat battery problem that it was doing.

The ABS is still a problem though, this morning the light came on even before I started moving, good I thought, maybe now I can trace the fault. However tonight coming home from work the light stayed off until almost home but did seem to come on as I went over a speed bump. :?

The rear wiper, well that's going with the car

The offside antiroll bar link is still rattling really bad, but that will be sorted on saturday, at the same time as I have a last look for the ABS fault.

I'm changing my insurance over to the XM on Saturday and can't wait to start riding about in a decent car again.

Currently there are 59 watchers on this car with almost 5 days to go. I started the bidding at £0.99p and will be happy just to see it go.
I know there is interest within this forum for the car and Mulley has seen it himself. So you could ask his opinion on what it's worth. I have a figure in mind and if it gets there I may end the auction and sell to the high bidder at that point.
I don't like to do this as I enjoy selling on ebay and would be interested to see how far it could go. However being honest about it, I certainly don't want anyone to pay more than I think it's worth.

That's my bit!

I've been in that car & its a desirable turbo diesel estate, who wouldnt want to own that?

If the only fault is that intermittent ABS, then the rest must be like new as Ken doesnt mess about when fixing these cars. I just wish i'd bought a few of Ken's old motors, might have saved myself a fortune....

This should go for decent money, quite what its worth, well only the bidders will know, it should top £500 quite easily i reckon, its got the desirable bosch pump as well hasnt it Ken?

Go on Club members, you know you want it :D

If it goes for less, then someone has gotten a bargain, that should provide quite a few years of very cheap motoring with no major work being needed....oh, i think i'm sounding like i might have shares in said blue beast  (i dont, just incase anyone thinks i have a material interest).

Good luck with your sale Ken, all you need to do is find me a nice XM :D

That would be the perfect car for me if only Ken hadn't scared me off it!

I'm one of the watchers btw - who knows, maybe I'll have a bid...

ABS is probably the O/S/F sensor wire, it always is, no idea why, but it always is..
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Interesting Ken!

I found the cruise controls on the Saabs great to use but don't most of them work on vacuum? As there's no vacuum on the BX presumably it needs to have a stepper motor on this ?

Some of the aftermarket units arn't as good as others though because if they just hold the throttle constant then speed will vary up & down inclines. For constant cruise it needs to be tapped into the sensors/ecu.

How does yours engage/disengage & where is the control situated?

I might look at fitting one to my GTi in this age of speed cameras.
