SOLD ** BX 1.9 TDX Estate J-Reg 67k miles £50

Post by davek-uk »

BX 1.9 TDX Estate, J-Reg, 66,685 miles (believed genuine), Red (rouge furio), Bosch pump, PAS, Electric front windows. RP 5677.

This car has to go by April 15 - £50.
I live in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.
I have been offered £50 from the scrapper but would rather it was used spares or repair.

She starts and runs ok and does Citrobics ok.
Paintwork not faded.
Bodywork reasonable.
Seats (black with red pinstripe) wonderful.
Electrics work.
New rear silencer

She is SORN - no MoT or Tax
She has a rumbly thrust or release bearing (rattles when clutch up), but drives.
Interior heating fan has packed up - motor available.
And needs a good clean and polish!

I saved her from the scrappers 2 years ago because she was too good to die but have done very little with her. Now I've brought a newer Berlingo and don't have the room - so she has to go.

Any chance you could post pictures of any rusty bits? Is there any history? Have you been driving it at all?

Cheers!

Come on Stu, for £50 it's not so much about history, but more like future :o

There's only one thing better than a £50 car.

That's a fee one.

This one sounds appealing but it's too far from me to consider.

Not that I want another you understand, but if it were savable, then sellable :D

I don't have any pics at the moment, but can get some if anyone's interested. There is no history. The main rusty bits are the underside of the doors (I have treated them - only one or two of them are bad), the body is in pretty good nick. The engine seems pretty good too. This is really why I'm offering her on the forum; if I thought it was a pile of crap, she would already be scrap. I think she is definitely saveable - by the DIY enthusiast or, if not, a good donor of parts; either way she’d further the BX cause – which she won’t being weighed in for scrap...

NOW SOLD

I'm sorry to say the BX has gone to the big breaker in the sky. I just couldn't say no to £100 for scrap and collection. I called the scrappy yesterday after I noticed the windscreen had cracked due to the cold spell over the last couple of days - now definately BER.
