OK this is a bit convoluted, but stay with me...
I asked about it and it seems all it needs is an MOT (!) - well apparently there's not much to worry about - it was in daily use too until last month, and the interior needs a sort out - it's a bit messy (not too grubby though) with lower steering column shroud removed etc. - but it's all there. The body looks really straight and I couldn't see any rust externally - although you know and I know that's not the full story! It's a nice mid blue that would shine up a treat. The bumper trim's a bit tatty, but that's easily remedied... Anyone interested? I can find out more.

The owner of the Ph. 2 valver is in two minds as to whether it's worth the swap hence the delay. In the meantime, Mark, the owner of Edwards & Sons, the breakers (excellent!), asked if mine was for sale (to replace the other Phase 2 owner's car (still with me?)...).
I told him it owed me £2,000 but might be tempted to take £1,900. He thought the other owner might 'bite'... Oh oh, I thought - what have I done?
As it turns out the owner of the Ph. 2 is an 80-yr old woman who loves BX's
Her son is a Judge (alarm bells ringing somewhere...) but if she makes an offer, what to do? That's more than I might expect for the car under any circumstances.... and although I'd be BXless for a while another would come along - maybe a Mk. 1 - I've never had one of those.... and with the change I could buy us a bigger family car.
