Can anyone advise on the correct piston protrusion for a 1905cc XUD turbo diesel engine, and corresponding head gasket thickness.
I am presently rebuilding one of these engines (destined for a Xantia), and only have the Haynes manual for the BX 1769cc Turbo diesel engine version. Its possible that they may have different piston protrusions due to different swept volumes, having spent a lot of cash so far I do not want to run the risk of getting this wrong and suffering from a potential engine failure at a later date.
