BX colours

I was having a wander and came across this.

Surely the BX wasn't available in all these colours? I remember many of them from 70s A-series and GSs!

Seems unlikely. I noticed Mimosa - there's a lovely GS running around in that colour (Chris Gordon's Buttercup) but I can't imagine a BX in it.

Todd's car proves they look great in yellow, but I don't recall seeing any factory yellow BXs!

I've got a feeling that these colours cover the entire citroen range rather than just the bx. Even having lived abroad, the majority of these colours were never on the bx's that i noticed....

Yep that's all the Citroen colours.

I'm trying to decide what colour mine is now. The paintcode is "ETWcA". In the table, ETW stands for both "Gris Graphite Metallic" and "Gris Silex Metallic"...

Colour matches on Citroens even with paintcodes are notoriously difficult. My Rouge Furio Magoo looks more like Rouge Geranium, and there are two Rouge Furios! :?

Now, a convertible BX in Cuivre Indien would be the sex :twisted: if only! Am I letting my inner Chatham Chav show much?!

Agreed. Even Venetian red is different from Citroen Venetian red....

Well, you've only mentioned it once, so I think you'll get away with it!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

On the colour4u website mine is Grey Gabion which shows a very dark grey/black patch but the car looks a lot lighter than that.

Don't rely on websites for a colour match... it will only be an approximation anyway, and everyone's monitors are different too!
